'The Science|Business Roundtable - a dialogue to bridge the gap'
A high-level meeting of academia, industry and government, organized by Science|Business, hosted by ParisTech
If Europe's economy is to prosper into the 21st Century, it needs to get more ideas out of its famous university labs and into its commercial markets.
Science|Business, a media company formed to report on and facilitate that vital process, on 7 March organized a high-level meeting of leaders in academia, industry and government, hosted by ParisTech, the association of France's Grandes Écoles in science and technology, at the Écoles des Mines de Paris, and sponsored by Microsoft Corp. The aim: to help bridge the gap between public lab and private market in Europe. It was a rare event to air the problems, analyze solutions, and conclude in a statement of recommendations to governments, for publication. Our goal: To promote enterprise in science.
