EIRMA announces training programme in innovation management

29 Apr 2015 | Network Updates
The Mastering Innovation Management (MIM) programme is organised by the European Industrial Research Management Association (EIRMA) in partnership with the Vlerick Business School, in order to inspire and equip R&D managers with methodology and practical tools to shape the future of global innovation

The objective of the Mastering Innovation Management (MIM) is to inspire EIRMA R&D managers with new perspectives on innovation. The programme will showcase best practices and will offer R&D managers support for translating these models to their own organisations. Also, EIRMA members will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.

What's unique?

The programme is based on action-oriented educational approaches. Participants are taught key frameworks and concepts, but most of the time will be spent on practice, reflection and sharing.

The programme will be led by two dynamic trainers with strong academic backgrounds and relevant business experience. Both trainers are experienced with moderating interactive executive development sessions.

Issues addressed

The first two days are about defining innovation strategy and management, while on the third day of the programme the focus will shift on strategies for working in global R&D teams. The last day features an integration module.

In order to make the programme as practical as possible, participants are asked to present case studies on specific innovation challenges from their own companies. The purpose is to overcome real challenges with the help of faculty members and the experience of fellow participants.

EIRMA aims at gathering international, high-potential R&D talents who wish to contribute to corporate, incremental or radical innovation. Participants should have been recently promoted as R&D managers and are expected to have a minimum of seven years of professional experience.

For optimal results, the programme is limited to 25 participants.
