Richard L. Hudson, CEO and Editor
Rich has been a leading science and technology journalist in Europe for 20 years. As managing editor of the Wall Street Journal Europe from 1997 to 2003, he helped lead a redesign of the title in 2000. A graduate of Harvard, a former Knight Fellow at MIT and Visiting Scholar at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Co-author of a book with Yale/IBM "fractal" mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot: The (mis)Behavior of Markets: A fractal view of risk, ruin & reward. Basic Books 2004.
Peter Wrobel, Editorial Director
Pete was from 1996 to 2004 the managing editor of Nature, the world's leading scientific journal. He has 25 years’ experience in writing and editing science journalism, including four years as head of publications at the UK Medical Research Council and eight years as chief sub-editor at New Scientist. He is a past chairman of the Association of British Science Writers.
Michael Kenward, OBE. Editor at Large
Michael has been a leading science editor and writer for many years. He began as a research physicist in nuclear fusion, but soon moved on to science journalism. He joined New Scientist magazine in 1969, and after a decade of various writing and editing positions he became editor of the weekly throughout the 1980s. Since then, he has written for The Financial Times, The Engineer, BioWorld Today, Physics World and many other publications. He has won numerous awards - Science Writer of the Year and Editor of the Year, among others, and was one of the founder members of the UK Committee on the Public Understanding of Science. In 1990 he was awarded the Order of the British Empire “for services to journalism”.
Nuala Moran, Senior Editor
Nuala is among Europe's most experienced science and technology journalists.
A former deputy editor of Computer Weekly and managing editor of Nature, she was also innovation editor of the Independent on Sunday. She writes regularly for the Financial Times, BioWorld and other publications.
Paul Meller, European Affairs Correspondent
Paul has a wealth of experience in reporting on intellectual property, technology and innovation from Brussels. He has written about European Union affairs for the past 10 years for the New York Times and International Herald Tribune, and before that for the Dow Jones news agency.
Fabrice Delaye, Paris Correspondent
After freelancing for newspapers includingLe Figaro and Le Monde, Fabrice joined the weekly magazine L'Hebdo in 1994, specialising in science, technology and business. In September 2006 he became international correspondent of the Swiss dailyt Le Bilan, a paper he first joined in 1996. He has also worked as a US correspondent in Boston.
Lori Valigra, US Correspondent
Lori reports on science, technology and business from Cambridge, Mass. Her work has been published by The Boston Globe, The Christian Science Monitor, National Geographic News, Science, Reuters and United Press International, among others. She has worked with a number of start-up publications, including the Computer Industry Daily with Esther Dyson and LocalBusiness.com, a Web-based news service, and served as Tokyo Bureau Chief for IDG News Service. Lori has won numerous fellowships, including the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at MIT.
Thea Morris, News Correspondent
Before moving in to London to study immunology in 2001, Thea worked as a translation assistant and studied medicine in Paris. Prior to joining Science|Business as a freelance scientific writer, she was awarded a first class BSc in Immunology from King’s College London. In 2004, Thea was employed as a research assistant and has been studying towards a PhD on the pharmacology on anti-inflammatory drugs in humans, in the Department of Medicine at University College London.
John Wyles, Columnist
John spent 18 years on the staff of the Financial Times, as Foreign News Editor and as Rome and New York correspondent, as well as heading the newspaper’s coverage of EU affairs in Brussels for five years. He is a partner in the Brussels consultancy GPlus Europe.
Terri Robinson, Marketing Manager
Before moving to Europe to study politics in 2004, Terri worked in property sales and management for four years for a prominent real estate company in Columbus, Ohio. Before joining Science|Business, Terri worked as an intern at the European Parliament for the Green Party and completed an internship at the State Representation of Baden-Wurttemberg, where she researched pending issues of the rules of participation for the European Union's Framework Programmes.
Steven Maisel, Finance Director, Company Secretary
Steven has been a financial director or consultant for many years. He was Financial Director of Allied Domecq's international holding company, and its project manager for European Economic Monetary Union. He was also Director of Investor Relations at Paris-listed Provimi, an animal-feed company based in the Netherlands, and Financial Director of a successful Brussels public affairs start-up, Blueprint Partners.
Luca Segantini, Business Development Director
Luca is a seasoned professional with substantial experience on the editorial and the business side of scientific publishing and communications. After coordinating online and in-print publications with Adis International and Masson Publishing, Luca moved to The Netherlands and Belgium, where he setup, launched and developed a worldwide association for business executives engaged in transforming finance, HR and procurement processes in global corporations. Luca is a sought-after contributor on leading magazines in the field of business transformation, management of complex information and e-business.

Malcolm Laws, Non-executive Director (died 14 September 2005)
Malcolm was group publishing director at US-based B2B media company Advanstar Communications Inc. for its international telecom and technology portfolio in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America. He was publishing director for the telecoms group of UK media group Emap plc. He was also chief executive of TakeU2, a dotcom venture in 2000-2001, and project director at NetDecisions Ltd.
