The Innovation Manifesto

On 20 October, EU leaders will meet in Finland. High on their agenda is innovation policy. But is that policy, previewed in a Commission statement on 13 September, correct? Is more aggressive action needed, to make Europe competitive in global technology markets?

On 9 October we launched our own "Innovation Manifesto: 9 ideas to bridge the gap between industry and academia - and make Europe more competitive in global technology." It is the result of an unusual Roundtable discussion, among leaders of European industry and academia, conducted at the École des Mines de Paris, and offers a more-liberal view of innovation policy.
